The Buxtons

Wow, where do I even start? Ok, ok, I know… I first met Aaron and Angel when my husband and I moved to Washington. They were the first people that we met (along with their oldest son, Jax). That was over 8 years ago! They have become a second family to us, and we are so blessed to have them in our lives. They are the type of friends that would give you the shirt off their back if you needed it. They are selfless, loving, down to earth type of people. So when Angel asked me to photograph her wedding for her, I immediately thought “YES!!”. Then she asked me to be a bridesmaid, I was so excited! My husband was officiating the wedding, and I was going to capture it. Perfect! So I defnitely needed a little assistance since I was in the wedding party, so my amazing friend (and double amazing photographer) Shelby, with Shelby Louise Photography stepped up and killed it! The day was beautiful from every little detail that her best friends helped with (shout out to Stephanie and Savana!). The ceremony was in Aaron and Angels backyard, on their property that they built their forever home on. I mean does it get any better than that? Yep, it does! They were surrounded by their closest friends and family to witness them become husband and wife. Their two sons were there, along with their two fur children, and everyone who played an important part in their lives. Angel got ready in her bedroom, helped Jax get dressed, and her best friends helped put on the final touches. She was simply stunning. Aaron got ready in a trailer on the property with all of his guys there, who also helped him with his hair and tie. As everyone gathered in the backyard, Judson (my husband) had his guitar ready, playing a song he wrote just for Angel to walk down the aisle to. As he played, Jaxson walked his mom down the aisle (there were tears flowing). He gave his mom a kiss, and gave her hand to his dad. What a moment! We all listened to their vows, wiped our tears, and laughed. They exchanged rings, vowed to laugh together, support each other through life’s tough moments, be proud of one another, encourage and be patient with each other, to grow old together, and to find new reasons to love each other every day. Then we threw a ton of confetti at them! We finished the night with Champagne, pizza, and dancing. The next day was their reception where they invited other friends to join them to celebrate their marriage. The reception was at Longmire Wedding and Events, which has the most beautiful barn, full of natural light. There were home made pies (made by Aarons mom), fresh cut flowers, smores, and the best Mexican food. They had toasts, enjoyed their first dance, caught up with old friends, played games outside..even did some yoga! The night was finished with a huge bonfire where we made smores and enjoyed each others company. I may be biased but this was the most perfect intimate wedding.

Aaron & Angel…you both mean the world to me and I cant thank you enough for allowing me to capture your wedding day for you. To say I am honored would be an understatement. You guys are more like family and we are so grateful to have you in our lives. Thank you again for letting me not only capture your special day, but to have us be apart of it. We love you.

xx
